3要因モデルに基づく，抑うつならびに不安症状の分類――多次元抑うつ不安症状尺度の作成

　Clark & Watson (1991)は，抑うつならびに不安症状を，抑うつと不安に共通するネガティブ情動の亢進，抑うつ特有のポジティブ情動の低下，不安特有の自律神経系症状の3つに分類する，3要因モデルを提示している．本研究では，抑うつならびに不安症状を査定するため，3要因モデルに基づき，多次元抑うつ不安症状尺度（MDAS）を作成した．463名の学生が心理学の授業の一環としてMDASに回答した．研究1では，探索的因子分析の結果，本尺度は，ネガティブ情動（NA），生理的覚醒（AR），ポジティブ情動（PA）の3因子からなることが示された．抑うつ，不安双方の共通因子であるNA因子は，不安特有因子（AR），抑うつ特有因子（PA）双方と中程度の相関があり，特有因子間は無相関であった．以上の結果は，3要因モデルと一致するものであった．研究2では，他尺度との相関により，構成概念妥当性の検討を行なった．PA尺度は報酬手がかりに対する感受性を測定するBAS尺度と中程度の正の相関，NA尺度は罰手掛かりに対する感受性を測定するBIS尺度と中程度の正の相関など，他尺度との間には概ね予想通りの相関パターンが得られた．

Clark & Watson (1991) proposed a tripattite model of depression and anxiety that divided related symptoms into three groups: symptoms of high negative affect that are commonly experienced by both the depressed and anxious, manifestations of low positive affect that are specific to depression, and symptoms of autonomic arousal that are relatively unique to anxiety. In the present study, we constructed a multidimensional depression and anxiety symptom scale (MDAS) to assess depression and anxiety symptoms based on the tripartite model. Four hundred sixty-three (463) undergraduates completed the MDAS during psychology classes. Exploratory factor analysis revealed three factors: negative affect (NA), physiological arousal (AR), and positive affect (PA). NA was found to correlate moderately with the other two factors, but the correlation between the two specific factors was close to zero. Additional data found correlations with other scales that were consistent with the predictions of the tripartite model.
